Members of the metro area community are noticing the success of Bayaud’s DayWorks Program. What began in Denver in 2016 has operated in Adams County and the City of Aurora and now is also operating in Lakewood and along the West Colfax Corridor.
DayWorks provides transitional work experience with paid wages, on-the-job training, job placement, and other essential services to adults living with homelessness. Bayaud’s Employment Specialists assist participants in efforts to obtain housing, healthcare or food and set goals to secure full-time employment. In 2021, of the 219 adults who completed the 10-week program, 113 (52%) were placed in permanent jobs with 86% retaining their jobs for 6 months or longer.
We are thankful for our current partners who include the City of Lakewood, the City of Denver, Jefferson County, the Phillips Family Foundation, the Community First Foundation, and the members of the Lakewood-West Colfax Business Improvement District (BID). It’s been said that Bayaud’s DayWorks program “makes a noticeable difference” in the community.
