Lines of Business

Since 1981, Bayaud has been creating small businesses (social enterprises) to respond to the community’s in-demand services that also create work opportunities for our constituents, provide training for future employment, and generate revenue to finance Bayaud’s other programs or general operations.

Bayaud currently executes 30 long-term and temporary service contracts for federal, state, and local agencies or local private and nonprofit entities that provide janitorial, warehouse, patient transportation, switchboard/call center or mailroom services among other tasks.

Social Enterprises

Through our current lines of businesses Bayaud employs more than 200 adults, some of whom are living with a disability. All Bayaud employees are trained in CPR, Mental Health First Aid, CPI Nonviolent Crisis Intervention, Trauma Informed Care and Narcan.

AbilityOne

AbilityOne is a federal employment program that provides job opportunities to the disability community.  It’s one of the largest sole sources of employment for persons experiencing blindness or significant disability in the United States. READ MORE HERE.

Bayaud  provides competitive integrated employment for disabled adults who work alongside non-disabled workers to perform the same job duties. Numerous federal agencies contract with Bayaud to provide custodial, mailroom, warehouse management, and patient transport services. More than 76% of Bayaud’s 120 AbilityOne employees have one or more significant disabilities, and all have access to Bayaud services.

  • Membership: Approved Nonprofit Agency with SourceAmerica (sourceamerica.org)
  • Business Partnerships: 14 contracts among 8 Federal agencies located across Metro Denver and in North Platte Nebraska including: VA (Veterans Administration), IRS (Internal Revenue Service), and NIST (National Institute of Technology and Standards).
  • Benefits/Opportunity: provides supported employment for 90+ individuals annually with mental or physical disabilities who are integrated with other staff into each agency’s key operations.
