Bayaud Enterprises is joining many others in conducting street out reach for the Point in Time Survey. Everyone Counts is the annual, national Point-in-Time Survey led by our partner Metropolitan Denver Homeless Initiative (MDHI).
In collaboration with agencies and volunteers across the Metropolitan Denver region, we will conduct this survey to generate a “snapshot” of the individuals and families who are experiencing homelessness in our communities.
The purpose of the national Point-in-Time is to count the number of homeless individuals on one day of the year and to educate citizens about the presence of homelessness within their own communities. Community, faith-based, and local government organizations use the information collec
ted from the Point-in-Time survey to identify the trends and service needs of the homeless population in the Metro Denver region.
While helping to determine the scope of homelessness, the PIT raises public awareness, promotes collaboration across seven counties, provides needed data, helps us apply for increased housing funds, and reminds the community that Everyone Counts!
In order to successfully complete the Point-in-Time, we are seeking Volunteers to help with outreach the night of Monday, January 28th, 2019 from 4:30 pm – 9:30 pm. We are also seeking Volunteers for help with outreach during the day on Tuesday, January 29th, 2019.
